Real Wedding: Hannah & Brett

We met Hannah as a bridesmaid in a friend's wedding we had planned in 2018. Her mom Lisa, we found out we had known as a fellow vendor in the wedding industry working for Music Garden -- the agency we book a lot of our wedding bands. It was such a joy to put a face with a voice we had spoken with so many times and get to work with on a more personal level. We always looked forward to our meetings with Hannah and Lisa, their dynamic is so fun and we were always laughing and staying later than we had originally planned talking about life and wedding planning.
Hannah and Brett had been together 8 years when they got married so as you can imagine, it was a huge celebration! Since Hannah's mom works at a music agency, the band was a big deal to their family. They selected Az IzZ for their reception entertainment and WOW. Everyone was on the dance floor the whole night. And stayed. We had one of the biggest send offs we've ever had because guests just did not want to leave! Hannah and Brett are clearly so loved and their day was such a beautiful celebration that we won't forget anytime soon!
What was the most important thing to you during the planning process?
The most important thing during the planning process was just making sure everything would flow for our big day! After looking over many vendors, the ones I chose were the ones I had to have. A Catered Affair (Tammy Griffen), Anna Godwin Photography, Joe Bryan Videography, Music Garden having the best band ever (Az Izz), and of course last but not least, Southern Posies. We can never thank them enough for everything they did to make our day flawless!
What was your favorite part of wedding planning?
I LOVED our monthly meetings with Crystal and her team. My favorite part was the design process that Crystal took us through!
How would you describe your season of engagement?
Well that is a funny question, it is so hot during the summers in Alabama and I swore I would never have a summer wedding!! Well what do you know I was engaged July 14th 2018 and picked our date for July 20th 2019! It couldn’t have been a more joyous and amazing time, and the hot Alabama summer didn't stand in our way!
What is your favorite memory from your wedding day?
Walking down the aisle and seeing how many of our closest friends and family were there to celebrate us! I will never forgot the feeling I got when I saw everyone! I can't leave out the reception!! WOW! What an awesome party! We even got Crystal and Allie to dance with us for one song!
What advice would you give a newly engaged couple?
Don't sweat the small stuff! Enjoy being engaged and planning your wedding. Everything will fall into place perfectly. There are so many tiny details that go into a wedding that I did not even realize. Southern Posies did an excellent job of handling those details so that we could enjoy our day!
What's been your favorite thing about married life?
It has been so much fun getting to experience life together! We have settled into our house and are loving married life!
