with over a decade of experience,
Our story started intimate & small but blossomed into a garden filled with an incredible team, knowledgeable vendors, reputable resources & impeccable details.
our story
It all started with a girl obsessed with sewing and designing her own clothes at the age of 14.
Her love of pattern, texture, and intricate details fed her creative spirit, only to find that years later, this passion set her up on a course to design not clothes but intentional weddings and events across the country. Crystal began Southern Posies out of her living room with flowers backed into every nook and cranny. With flowers filling bathtubs, she knew it was time to set up shop in a studio. Southern Posies officially opened its doors in October 2012 with a handful of flea market vases and props. Fast forward to today and well over 500 events later, Southern Posies serves the southeast and beyond with planning, design, and management expertise and jaw-dropping florals.

Meet Our Team
It takes a village and our village knows how to throw a party. Three things are similar among us all: we love serving you, we love celebrating, and we work really, really hard.
meet the owner & founder
Crystal Strickland, owner and creative director of Southern Posies, was born and raised in Montgomery, Alabama.
From a young age she was always creating. In middle school it was normal to find her making her own clothing patterns, sewing dresses, bedazzling her shoes or painting - she was always designing and working with her hands.

studio & gardens
After a lot of searching and prayer, Trip and Crystal found a new dream location for Southern Posies.
It was not until early 2019 that they officially closed on almost 15 acres of property and began construction on the studio and warehouse. They picked up and moved all of their inventory from their studio on Mulberry Street at the beginning of 2020 once the building was complete. Raised beds were built and constructed in 2021 with new gardens unfolding in 2022.
