It’s that time of the year again y’all! This summer has just flown by and it’s already time to head back to school. Where has the time gone?? We’re capping off this summer by talking about one of our absolute favorite sweet treats: Thin Mints. We took everyone’s favorite Girl Scout cookie and made a delicious, creamy popsicle version, perfect for those hot August afternoons. These yummy pops would be a hit at any back-to-school gathering, or even just a nice sweet treat to enjoy with your kids after school.
Collins and Michael were married the 10th of June (the reason they picked the date is as sweet as their five-tiered cake) in Dothan, Alabama. Take a look into Collins and Michael’s beautiful wedding and see why we enjoyed working with this precious couple so much!
It’s pretty normal for you to find my nose deep in any floral related book I can get my hands on. There is something so fascinating to me about the intricacies of flowers. From the smells, textures, shapes, patterns, colors, meanings, origins…I think ultimately it is seeing the Lord’s handiwork scattered across the earth with a gentle reminder that sometimes the most beautiful of things take time and usually grow through a whole lot of dirt and that out of patience and grace, we to can flourish from the messes of everyday life.
Here at Southern Posies, we LOVE working with other creatives on fun and fresh projects. When Lauren Kendrick, owner of the cutest little monogram shop, Sassy Biscuit, gave us a shout to contribute to her beautifully-southern styled shoot, we just couldn’t resist. Lauren was inspired for this shoot by everything she adores about the South, from our beautiful plantations, to the Spanish moss hanging from the trees, to heirloom monograms. Our gal Reese Witherspoon said it best when she said, “My rule is if it’s not moving — monogram it!” Together with some awesome vendors, Lauren’s vision of Contemporary Southern Elegance came to life on a sweet spring afternoon.
Heading out west is one of mine and my husbands fav vacays we take every year. Mammoth Lakes, California is tippy top of our list and where we usually go every summer. This year we are flying out to Gardiner, Montana and taking in all the sights of Yellowstone. Packing my suitcase is always an adventure (I always hit close to 60 lbs. on the Delta scale, #bringontheextracharge) as I am usually the girl who has to sit on her suitcase to close it. This year I am trying hard though y’all. Pushing for a simplified packing list + no overweight fees… so wish me luck! Here is a peek at what I am packing:
