Hey gals! Can you believe it is already February and for that fact, middle of February?! It feels like January just flew by this year. We got back to the office post holidays on January 2nd and really hit the ground running… and we’ve kept on running and running and running since then. In this post, I am going to be recapping all of the things we were up to last month (and hopefully you will understand and forgive us for our radio silence on the blog and newsletter recently.)

We started January off with Whitley and Robert’s beautiful winter wedding. These two were married on January 6, 2018 in a sweet and intimate family only ceremony at The Chapel at The Waters. They then welcomed 250 of their friends to celebrate with them at the reception with amazing food by the fantastic Jennie Weller Catering, a super fun band that got the whole crowd out on the dance floor – Creativity, and a romantic sparkler send-off at the end of the night. We will be doing a whole blog post for these cuties later on (you won’t want to miss all the personal touches, gorgeous images, and sweet love story) but for now, here are a few of our favorite photos taken by fabulous photographer and sweet friend of ours Anna Godwin Photographs.

The next week, we had client meetings, site visits for a new bride (waving at you, Melanie) and a tasting at Pursell Farms (that left our bellies and hearts so full) for our sweet April bride Kayla! At the end of the week we got to be a part of a fun event for New York Life.  We love brining our corporate client’s visions to life.  One of our favorites from this event? Coming up with a unique gift for the attendees.  We chose to tie in a custom debossed luggage tags from Leatherology with a tag printed with ‘May 2018 be your best journey yet’.  They were placed in small boxes at each attendee’s place setting.

The third week of January was c r a z y. We started working on Sunday to prepare for a Martin Luther King Jr. breakfast in Auburn. We also had dozens of arrangements being made and delivered to the fabulous girls competing in the Distinguished Young Women of Alabama scholarship program. Our phones were ringing off the hook with sweet family and friends ordering beautiful blooms for their contestants.  Over 80 arrangements went out that week to women participants and we were so delighted to be apart of such an exciting program! We also welcomed a new face to our office — our precious spring intern Kaleigh! She was a huge help that week and is a natural with flowers, which we are so thankful for!  Here are a few peeks of designs that week:

Week 4: We got to work with our friends over at Jennie Weller Catering on a rehearsal dinner over at the Ware Farley Hood House. We loved getting to work on these mantelpiece designs which feature some elaeagnus that we foraged locally.

The last week in January brought us back to one of our favorite places, Auburn University! We got to create beautiful arrangements that tied in that Auburn orange for the Provost Advising Awards. We even did half of the centerpieces in little terra cotta pots so that the attendees could take home a little souvenir of fresh blooms!
