established in 2012
It all started with a girl obsessed with sewing and designing her own clothes at the age of 14. Her love of pattern, texture, and intricate details fed her creative spirit. Only to find that years later this passion set her up on a course to design not clothes but intentional wedding and events across the country. Crystal began Southern Posies out of her living room floor with flowers backed in every nook and cranny. With flowers filling bathtubs they knew it was time to set up shop in a studio. Southern Posies officially opened its doors in October 2012 with a handful of flea market vases and props. Fast forward to today and over 350 weddings later plus an incredible team, Southern Posies services the southeast and beyond.
Helping brides tell their story through meaningful designs, purposeful details and whimsical blooms—so they can have peace-of-mind that every detail is handled with care and intention and focus on building a marriage more beautiful than their wedding.

OWNER & CREATIVE DIRECTOR
Hey there! I’m Crystal, and I’ll be the one handing you your first glass of champagne as a Mrs. (and making sure every detail is handled with intention and care along the way). As a boutique event and floral designer, my passion lies in telling Southern wedding stories infused with romantic details and charm.
My go-to word recipe for cultivating a memorable wedding is passionate, purposeful, and meaningful as your wedding is a sacred moment filled with the people you cherish most and a vow of love and commitment before God, family, and friends. That’s alot to take in and exactly where I can come alongside and help ensure our focus stays true on the things that matter most to you.
Coming from a family of creative entrepreneurs and a grandfather who was an award winning rose-gardener: it’s safe to say that with years in the events industry, I found my sweet spot (and now I believe in highschool sweethearts, lazy lake days, football tailgates, archways full of beautiful blooms, and family: don’t be surprised if you see handy husband (yup, high school sweetheart!) helping lay out details on your big day — and yes, he is pretty darn good at flowers. We are welcoming our first little one this August and could not be more excited!
Grateful you stopped by and wishing you an armful of blooms, friend!
OWNER & FINANCIAL DIRECTOR
Hey there, my name is Trip. You will find me wearing a variety of hats around Southern Posies events. From building archways to constructing custom pieces like that really cool column your cake will sit on top of to hanging flower platforms-my passion for woodworking comes in pretty handy.
I work full time as a Commercial Credit Underwriter for Valley National Bank which I really enjoy. Outside of working at the bank I wear a variety of hats with Southern Posies and oftentimes help out on weekends and keep the studio property in tip top shape. I enjoy the outdoors along with hunting, fishing, hiking and trips to our family farm.
A few facts about me: In high school I interned in the prop shop at the Alabama Shakespeare Festival where I had my hand in building a few sets for plays. One of my favorite memories is taking a road trip across the country to California with a buddy of mine and fly-fishing the entire way. The Snake River is a personal favorite if needing a good recommendation.
Hey y’all! I’m Allie. I have had a huge passion for weddings since day one. I have been to more weddings than I can count – always begging my mom to be her “plus one” to every single wedding she was invited to. I pored over glossy bridal magazines for much longer than I ever did my college textbooks (sorry mom!) Speaking of books, I graduated from Auburn University with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism. During my last semester at Auburn, I had the pleasure of interning at Southern Bride magazine where I was fully immersed in the wonderful world of weddings day after day and grew a widespread knowledge of the industry.
I joined Southern Posies in January of 2017 as the Event Manager and just recently transitioned into my new role as Marketing Director. In January of 2020, I married my best friend, Ryan, and packed up and headed to a new state to start our life together. Now you will find me working remotely at my new home in Little Rock, Arkansas, next to my precious husband, Ryan and our sweet pup, Louie. But don’t worry, I will still be back on some wedding weekends so you will definitely see me with beautiful blooms in tow!
EXECUTIVE PLANNER AND LOGISTICS
Hey there! I’m Allison and I joined the Southern Posies team in November of 2018. I have always had a big passion for weddings, and started my career after college aspiring to be a bridal designer. Fast forward a few years and a shift in my post grad plan, I found my place in the wedding industry venturing out to beautiful venues all across the South Carolina lowcountry, tending to brides on their wedding day! Fast forward many gorgeous weddings, a few years, and lots of miles, I’ve ended up here in Alabama to continue my journey.
During the week you can find me at our new office planning the best day ever for our clients, scooting off to site visits, and creating beautiful floral arrangements!
Hi there y’all! My name is Anna and I have been on team SoPo since 2017. Two of my biggest passions in life are flowers and people, and what better way to cultivate that than to help with weddings and events?
I have had a love of pretty flowers since I was a little girl, there’s just something about fresh blooms that makes my heart so happy. I have been working in weddings for over 5 years now and I truly think it is what I was made to do. There is no better feeling than knowing you are part of making the biggest day of someone’s life extra special.
I graduated from Auburn University (War Eagle y’all!) with a degree in Hospitality with a focus on Event Planning. When I’m not playing with flowers or helping out around the Southern Posies Studio, you can always find me with a cup of coffee in hand reading a good book, baking something sweet and full of butter, or hanging out with my sweet husband, Sam and our black lab pup, Oliver.
Hi! My name is Debbie. I am a wife to my awesome pastor husband, Adam, of 30 years, mom to 3 sons and 2 awesome daughters-in-law and ‘Nonnie’ to our 4 sweet grandbabies. I have had some pretty great jobs in my past, but have always looked forward to being able to pursue some of my passions, such as ministering with others, playing with flowers and making beautiful things.
In the summers we love to hang with our family and friends, and any chance we have to travel is always a plus! Growing up in southwest Florida, I absolutely adore the ocean, animals and all things beautiful, including fashion and home interiors.
It’s a blessing to be able to spend time with other women who are so incredibly talented, hard working and equally passionate about making someone’s special day truly amazing.
Hey guys! I am Derrick McCorkle. I have worked in the events industry for over 15 years for various designers and caterers and have been a part of the Southern Posies event team for over 2 years. I am also a music artist, producer, Co-CEO of Utopia Entertainment/Universal Music Group. I help setup and takedown events for Southern Posies along with an array of other tasks which I really enjoy. I am a very ambitious person and love to make people smile. I have four kids – three young ladies and one son. I graduated from Alabama State University with a degree in English and Psychology. And then got my Masters Degree in Musical Engineering from Full Sail University.
Hey there friend! My name is Grace, a passionate, talkative, creative spirited, wedding lover! I am currently a student at Auburn University, majoring in Interior Design. I love all things that involve design and improving the quality of life. Seeing someone’s dream come to life in a design and then a reality is person is the most rewarding and fulfilling feeling in the world.
A little background about me, I have grown up in the country and indulged in all things outdoors. Growing up, my parents have always encouraged me to do something that I am passionate about and to fulfill my calling in life. I love serving others and letting my creative side flow. If I’m not in class, you can always find me in the kitchen or at Target! Attending Auburn University has always been a dream of mine and I am loving every moment of it.
Southern Posies has become another home for me and given me a bonus family. I have never met such a special group of people who are all hardworking and passionate about what they do. The memories are priceless and moments when the client’s dream come to life are exhilarating. I love this team and I love this business.
My name is JaCorey Patton. I started with Southern Posies about two years ago, and it’s been a joyous experience from day one! Crystal and Trip actually offered me a job on weekends while I was working as a server at Chappy’s Deli. Somehow, I managed to get a job while working my job. I’m mainly a member of the strike team and setup/breakdown team here, but Crystal uses my versatility wherever she sees fit. I love to stay busy and active, so this is one of the many perks about working for Southern Posies. When I’m not at SOPO, I’m almost always working my full time job, along with a handful of hobbies that I indulge in when I get some time to myself. If I’m not working at all, I’m usually working out, writing, playing some kind of video games, or doing random research about things I’ll probably never need to know. I’m a pretty simple person who leads an even simpler life.
Hey y’all! My name is Joshua Huggins and I love having the opportunity to have a creative outlet in working with Southern Posies for weddings and special events. Throughout my professional career, I have had the opportunity to plan events on college campuses, and when the opportunity arose for me to work with Southern Posies, I was so excited!
I work full time as the Assistant Director of Campus Visit and Events at Auburn University and advise the Student Recruiters, oversee the daily functions of the campus tour experience, and manage all prospective student events for the university. I have a Bachelor of Music Education and Masters in Higher Education Administration from Auburn, so it is safe to say that I love having the opportunity to give back to my school.
In my free time (what’s that), I love to travel, hang out with friends, and eat good food (as evidenced in my picture). I’ve had the opportunity to road trip all across the United States and hope to complete visiting all 50 states in the next 5 or so years. Some fun facts about me: I’ve never had a Coke product or a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, I lived in Rochester, New York, for one year (it was too cold), and I am intrigued by personality types/assessments and have most recently been reading all about the Enneagram.
Hi friends, I’m Kaleigh and I have been a part of the Southern Posies team since January 2018. With my dad being a minister, I have been around weddings all of my life, but my love for them grew during my time in college. My sister became engaged during my sophomore year and after planning her special day I realized that I wanted to do the same for others. During my last semester of college, I had the pleasure to intern for Southern Posies and learned so much about the wedding industry. Now I get to live my dream as an Event Team Member! My favorite part of weddings is seeing the transformations of a space once all of the details come together and the joy it brings to the bride’s face. It truly is magical!
I currently live in Birmingham, AL and love spending time with my family, friends, and my sweet pup Gracie. On wedding days you can find me with a Diet-Coke in hand helping with the finishing touches, while at the same time updating everyone on the latest in pop-culture.
